IOSH Managing Safely

Introduction:

IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) is Europe’s leading professional body for Health and Safety practitioners. The institute works to advance the safety, health and welfare of people at work and those affected by work activities. Designed for Supervisors and Managers who need to manage safety, this 5 day course, ending with a formal examination, covers the topics necessary to manage safety in compliance with health and safety legislation, their company policy and contract requirements. The course also involves a short in-company project using the skills learned on the course.

Objectives:

To ensure that safety requirements are appreciated by people employed as line managers, and to enable them to review their own departmental systems for safety by introducing new controls or implementing changes as appropriate to make the department work more safely.

On successful completion of the course, delegates will receive an IOSH ‘Managing Safely’ certificate. This qualification can be used as the basis from which delegates could progress further within the field of Health and Safety.

This requires delegates to carry out a practical assessment of their own workplace and return documentation for marking.

On successful completion of the course (including a theoretical test) delegates will receive a IOSH accredited certificate. Courses may be held at our Crewe training centre, your premises or venue of your choice.
