NEBOSH – National General Certificate - Gold Learning Provider

Introduction: The NEBOSH National General Certificate has been recognised for many years as the basis for a sound, broad introduction to the fundamentals of occupational health and safety.

Objectives: The NEBOSH National General Certificate aims to provide those making day-to-day decisions at work with a broad knowledge of Health and Safety in order to ensure that the Health and Safety implications of their decisions are properly taken into account. The vast majority of occupational injuries and incidents of ill-health are avoidable by good Health and Safety management; and good Health and Safety management is an essential element of good overall management.

Entry Requirement: There are no entry requirements for this qualification, however learner/s should have a good understanding of the English Language , Health and Safety or have at least completed the IOSH MS course

Who Should Attend: Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders and Safety Representatives. Anyone making day-to-day health and safety related decisions at work.

Element 4: Health and Safety Monitoring and Measuring

Element 5: Physical and Psychological Health

Element 6: Musculoskeletal Health

Element 7: Chemical and biological agents

Element 8: General Workplace issues

Element 9: Work Equipment

Element 10: Fire

Element 11: Electrical

Duration:

11 days plus 1 day practical assessment and examination, including a revision day immediately prior to the exam day as part of the course. Learners find these very beneficial.
